"Out with the old, in with the new."

I'm sure we're all familiar with this statement and even practice it regularly. When a light bulb burns out, get rid of it and get a new one. When shoes wear out...out with the old, in with the new.

We probably don't think much about the idea of “out with the old, in with the new” when it applies to those things.

But, do we carry that approach into more important matters?

Like, our view of the Bible? Now that we have the New Testament, should we just dismiss or ignore the Old?

We are going to learn straight from the words of Jesus Himself that we better not do that!

Join us Sunday as we continue through the Sermon on the Mount with "Jesus, the Old Testament, and Us" from Matthew 5:17-20.

Our world is fascinated with influencers...social media influencers, celebrities, people in the public eye. They use their "star power" to influence behaviors and spending decisions by getting people to follow them and the products they represent.

We are also meant to be influencers. Not to gain a following for ourselves, but to point people to God as Kingdom influencers!

Jesus calls His followers "the salt of the earth" and "the light of the world."

This is our identity, and also how we are to live influencing a broken world for good, for the sake of God's Kingdom.

Join us Sunday as we continue our series in the Sermon on the Mount: "Salt & Light" from Matthew 5:13-16.

P.S. Sunday is our monthly Fellowship Sunday where we have donut holes and juice between services. It's a great time to welcome someone new to our church, so be intentional about finding someone you don't know and introducing yourself!
