Hypocrisy. I'm sure none of us wants to be one who doesn't practice what they preach, or whose life doesn't match what they say they believe.

But there’s another kind of hypocrisy that is just as dangerous.

It actually looks pretty good on the outside—righteous and godly—yet it is every bit as sinful and hypocritical.

It’s the hypocrisy of doing the right thing in the wrong way (with the wrong heart or motives).

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” – Romans 6:4

Today was a powerful reminder of God’s transforming grace. We had the incredible privilege of witnessing many people declare their faith in Jesus through baptism. Each photo represents a unique story of redemption, love, and a life made completely new as they took their next step toward Jesus.

Thank you, church family, for surrounding them with so much love and support this morning. Please continue to pray for these individuals as they walk forward in their faith!

Whether through prayer, going, serving, evangelizing, giving, or loving, you have a role to play in making disciples of all nations. Don't let spiritual laziness or apathy hold you back. The call is clear.

Hello Chapel - Love is a popular subject in our world. There are countless books, songs, and movies about it, and even a holiday fashioned after it!

As Christ-followers, we know we are supposed to love others. But why?

Is it just because it's a good moral thing to do, or simply because our parents and teachers taught us to?

Last Sunday, Pastor Luke preached on loving our enemies from Matthew 5.

This Sunday, we'll follow up on the theme of love, yet we'll step away from the Sermon on the Mount to look at the Apostle John's words about why believers are to love each other.

I look forward to worshipping together and opening up the Word as we look at "Why We Love" from 1 John 4:7-12.

Cynicism, becoming like a child, lament, promises, and prayer cards. How are those connected? Those are some of the things that our Chapel ladies spoke about on Tuesday evening as they discussed the book "A Praying Life" by Paul E. Miller. We had a great evening of fellowship, discussion, and left encouraged to be more committed to prayer. After all, our Heavenly Father desires that relationship with us!
