“We left Savannah the 1st of September… We arrived in Saint Augustine, Sunday, the 2nd of September at 10 o’clock at night.”

With these simple words, a Sister recorded the end of an extraordinary journey and the beginning of 160 years of faith, courage, and service in Florida. Today, we remember those first eight Sisters and give thanks for the courageous “yes” that continues to bear fruit generations later. In their honor, we share "They Arrived With a Yes", written by Councilman Rahman Johnson.

🎉 Happy Belated Birthday, Sister Ann! 💛

We may be a couple of days late, but fortunately, forgiveness is a virtue, and we know Sister Ann has plenty of it! 😊

This past Saturday, Sister Ann Kuhn, SSJ, celebrated her birthday, and we are grateful for the many years of faithful service she has shared with others. Her ministry has included education and administration, along with numerous leadership roles, including General Superior.

Sister Ann continues to serve with dedication as Chair of the Board of Catholic Charities St. Augustine, Motherhouse Coordinator, and a docent at the Father Miguel O’Reilly House Museum.

Her generous spirit, wisdom, and commitment to the dear neighbor continue to inspire us. Please join us in wishing Sister Ann a joyful and grace-filled year ahead!
