“I was dead. I was made alive. I was raised up. I am seated with Christ. That is my identity.”

On Sunday, Gary Hoffman opened John 3 and Ephesians 2 to look at what it means to find our identity “in Christ.”

We don’t earn new life through good works. By grace, through faith in Christ, we are made alive and then called to walk in the good works God has prepared for us.

Wherever God has planted us, we have an opportunity to live out that identity and reflect Christ to the people around us.

“Studying God’s Word produces hope because it points to our future too.”

On Sunday, Dr. Ken Lowe shared from Romans 15, reminding us that Scripture gives us endurance, encouragement, and hope as we look to what God has promised.

We’re thankful to Ken and Amy for sharing about their ministry in Portugal and pointing us back to the hope found in God’s Word.

“You are not too far gone. You are not too deeply buried. You are not out of Jesus’ reach.”

On Sunday, Tim Balis shared a simple picture of what life can sometimes feel like: being stuck “in the dumpster.” Whether we find ourselves there because of circumstances beyond our control, our own choices, disappointment, failure, or loss, it can be easy to wonder if there’s any way out.

But the good news of the gospel is that Jesus doesn’t give up on us. He sees us, He values us, and He meets us right where we are.

As Tim reminded us from 1 Peter 1, Jesus is our living hope. Even when our circumstances haven’t changed, we can stay rooted in Christ, trust His love for us, and take the next step toward Him.
