“God,
let me want You
more than I want
anything else.”

This is one of the most powerful prayers a person can pray.

Because honestly, the heart is always chasing something.

Success.
Approval.
Comfort.
Relationships.
Security.
The next achievement.
The next blessing.

And while none of those things are necessarily wrong, they were never meant to take the place that belongs to God.

Because everything else in life is temporary.

Circumstances change.
People change.
Dreams evolve.
Earthly things come and go.

But God remains.

Faithful.
Constant.
Unchanging.

That’s why a heart that desires God above all else finds a peace the world cannot give and cannot take away.

And honestly, when God becomes your greatest desire, everything else begins falling into its proper place.

You stop allowing success to define your worth.
You stop depending on people's approval for your happiness.
You stop chasing temporary things to fill needs only God can satisfy.

Because the closer you grow to God, the more you realize that His presence is the blessing behind every other blessing.

His peace is greater than comfort.
His love is greater than acceptance.
His purpose is greater than achievement.

And the beautiful thing is this:

When you seek God first, you don't lose the good things in life.

You simply learn to love them without making them your source of identity, hope, or security.

Your heart becomes anchored in something eternal.

So let this prayer rise from your soul:

“Lord, become my greatest desire. Let me seek Your presence more than popularity, Your wisdom more than success, and Your will more than my own plans. Fill my heart so completely with Your love that nothing in this world takes Your place.”

Because when God becomes your deepest desire, you discover that He is more than enough for every need your heart could ever have.

“ETERNITY NEVER ENDS — IN HEAVEN OR IN HELL.”

The Bible teaches that every soul will spend eternity somewhere. Jesus Christ spoke more about hell than many people realize because He was warning sinners to flee from the wrath to come. Heaven is real, and hell is real. Eternity does not stop. The question is not if eternity exists — the question is where you will spend it.

The Lord Jesus said:

“And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” — Matthew 25:46 KJV

Notice the words “everlasting punishment” and “life eternal.” The same eternal God who promises eternal life also warns of eternal judgment. Hell is not a temporary place. It is a place of torment, separation from God, and regret forever.

The rich man in hell cried out:

“And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments...” — Luke 16:23 KJV

But heaven is a place of joy, peace, holiness, and the presence of God forever.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying...” — Revelation 21:4 KJV

This image is a warning and an invitation. Sin may offer pleasure for a season, but eternity is forever. Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners through His death, burial, and resurrection.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16 KJV

Today is the day to repent and believe the Gospel. Do not gamble your eternal soul on temporary pleasures. Heaven and hell are both eternal realities, and every person must choose what they will do with Jesus Christ.

“Choose you this day whom ye will serve...” — Joshua 24:15 KJV

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." — John 15:13

This Memorial Day weekend, our church family pauses to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation 🇺🇸. While we enjoy extra time with family, backyard barbecues, and the start of summer, let us never forget the true weight of this day.We are deeply grateful for the precious gift of freedom—especially the freedom to gather and worship openly.
