Upward Basketball registration for all boys and girls age 4 through 3rd Grade is NOW OPEN for the 2027 season! We are accepting online registrations ONLY through December 1. The registration fee is $55 per player. After December 1 late registrations will only be accepted if space permits.

🍎🍂 A small group of our Sonshiners took a trip to Jackson, Ohio, and visited Four Mile Bakery, Heavenly Harvest Farm and Orchard, and LaRosa's Pizza.
When you see the beautiful apples for sale at the farm, you think of the orchard they came from. You think of all the work that went into growing and nurturing the trees that produce those apples, and you think of the people it takes to harvest them. They have to know the right time to harvest, and they have to work together to make sure every apple is gathered and none are left behind.
As Christians, we are called to harvest as well. Matthew 9:37–38 says, "Then He said to His disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.'" Just like the farmers, it is our job to go out into the field (the world) and harvest, helping people come to know the Lord and grow in Him.
So as you enjoy apples, pumpkins, and all the delicious flavors of the fall harvest, be reminded that you are called to your own harvest. Look for the people you know and the people you meet throughout your day, and make sure you're doing what you can to help them see the love of Christ through you. We'd love for you to join our family at Bridges Christian Church. There's room in the field for everyone, so come harvest with us! 🍎🧡

This is the key to understanding everything Jesus came to do. It's not about following directions. It's about knowing Him and walking with Him, together.

Imagine sitting in a room with someone you love and they tell you they are leaving. At this point, you don’t understand why or where they are going and you don’t understand why you can’t go with them. All you keep thinking about are the words, “I’m leaving.”

That’s where the disciples sat on the night before Jesus went to the cross.

Jesus knows they didn’t get it. They’ve missed the message in much of His teachings. But to calm their worries, Jesus turns to them and says: “Do not let your hearts be troubled.”

How well do the disciples heed to Jesus’ words here? Is it even possible to not have a troubled heart? How well do you heed to Jesus’ words, “Don’t let your heart be troubled?”

This Sunday, we will find the answers in the Jesus’ sixth great “I Am” statement,
“I am the way and the truth and the life.”

You don’t want to miss this Sunday!
Come worship.
Come expectant.
Come see what God might do.
