God worked in incredible ways during camp in the Peruvian jungle!

Despite travel delays and schedule challenges, the week was filled with meaningful conversations, impactful teaching through the book of James, and strong connections between campers and counselors. From soccer games each afternoon to late-night discussions, it was encouraging to see both campers and leaders challenged and strengthened spiritually throughout the week.

In Ghana, what started in 2003 with a group of local pastors burdened for their young people has grown into a thriving camp ministry reaching nearly 200 campers today.

From 100° heat to termite swarms, and even last minute government schedule changes, nothing has stopped God from working. Over the years, young people have grown in literacy through the New Testament, counselors have been raised up through a local Bible Institute, and many have come to know Christ.

From humble beginnings to lasting fruit, God continues to do more than expected.

From an early morning flight to Lima to a room full of pastors eager to grow, God’s timing could not have been clearer. After reconnecting with leaders who first trained with The Wilds years ago, we had the opportunity to invest in more than 40 people from multiple churches, ending with a meaningful graduation and a shared excitement for what’s ahead with CampsAbroad.

Now back in the jungle and just minutes from the start of camp. So thankful to be part of what God is doing here and grateful for your continued prayers.

From a quiet porch overlooking the Peruvian jungle to a full weekend of training and ministry in Puerto Maldonado. We’re back for a second year serving alongside Buddy Fitzgerald, investing in counselors, teens, and young adults who are eager to grow and build on what they learned last year.

Next stop is Lima to train pastors and share CampsAbroad before camp begins later this week. Thankful for the opportunity to serve and for your prayers.

After a long journey and a missed ferry, we arrived in Sierra Leone and jumped right in, worshiping with believers, and training leaders for the week ahead.

Now camp is underway with about 100 young adults, hearing clear, biblical truth in a place where it’s often lacking.
