Young adults checked their phones, every guy, every gal.
The cabins were waiting, the campfire aglow,
But 11 PM was the hard “last call” to go.
NCC’s retreat where our hearts realign,
Where you find that with Jesus you can laugh, rest, and shine.
With Taj Pacleb preaching, so clear and so bright,
Making Jesus feel near, relatable, light.
Special K loaf simmered, and Tofurkey was near,
Haystacks assembled with layers of cheer.
Adventists gathered with plates piled high,
Debating Big Franks vs. linketts on the sly.
We’ll dive into Scripture and still have real fun,
Games, hikes, and breakout sessions when the messages are done.
Laughing, connecting with people who get it,
Learning God’s Word without feeling you “missed it.”
