Have you ever wondered how a holy God can live among sinful people?

That's the question at the heart of Exodus 28–30 as we continue our DWELLING: The God Who Lives With His People series. God doesn't simply tell His people to come near—He provides a way for them to live in His presence. He provides a mediator. He provides a sacrifice. And He calls His people to live every day with an awareness that He is with them.

And that same truth is ours today. Through Jesus, we don't have to earn our way into God's presence. God has made a way for us to come near. So the question isn't simply, “Did I experience God's presence on Sunday?” It's “Am I living in God's presence on Monday?”

Join us this Sunday as we discover the beautiful truth that God wants to be near us—and He makes a way for us to come near Him.

Why does the Bible spend so much time talking about furniture in Exodus? Gold. Wood. Rings. Poles. Bread. Lamps. Buds. Blossoms. Measurements down to the inch. At first glance, Exodus 25 can feel like a passage we might be tempted to skim. But these aren't random details. They're revealing something extraordinary about God. The God who rescued Israel from Egypt doesn't simply send His people on their way. He comes to dwell with them. The tabernacle is a picture of the heart of God: He moves toward His people, not away from them.

In Exodus 25, three pieces of furniture help Israel understand what it means to live with God's presence. And this isn't merely an ancient story.
