🌎 LIVING ON MISSION
Galatians 2 • Colossians 3

What a wonderful way to close out our final Sunday of Awesome August! 🎉 We are so thankful for every volunteer who helped make this month so special, and a huge thank you to our kitchen team for all the time, work, and love they poured into serving our church family. We appreciate each of you!
Living on mission isn’t just something we do when we travel across the world on a mission trip. Wherever God has placed us, that is our mission field.

We are called to:
• Realize our calling
• Recognize our mission field... we are always on mission
• Be intentional
• Remember that what we do...and why we do it... matters

Our time matters. Whatever we do, we can do it for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Our money matters. What God has given us isn’t simply about ownership... it’s about stewardship.

Our relationships matter. We are called to put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forgiveness, and above all, love. (Colossians 3:12-14)

And at the heart of our mission is the Gospel:

✝️ Grace - God giving us what we could never deserve.
❤️ Mercy - God withholding what our sin deserves.

You don’t have to go across the world to live on mission.

Your workplace is a mission field.
Your home is a mission field.
Your neighborhood is a mission field.
Wherever God has placed you...live on mission.

For 10 years, Kristi Holder has faithfully served our church as our Financial Secretary!

So much of what Kristi does happens behind the scenes, but her faithfulness, attention to detail, and dedication help keep our church and its ministries moving every day. She is truly one of those people whose work may not always be seen, but is always felt. ❤️

Kristi, thank you for 10 years of faithful service and for the important part you play at Pleasant Valley North. We are so thankful for you!

Awesome August Week 3! 🙌💙

This morning, we continued our Living Your Life on Purpose series with a challenging message from Luke 6:27–36 - Loving People Who Are Hard to Love.

Jesus calls us to something different: love our enemies, do good, bless, pray, forgive, and extend grace - not because people always deserve it, but because we have been given grace.

Three reminders to carry into this week:

✨ Loving the hard to love is part of being different.
✨ Loving the hard to love displays God’s power and glory.
✨ Loving the hard to love helps make us more like Jesus.

And our challenge? Pick one person who is difficult to love and intentionally pray for them, encourage them, move toward them, and show them the grace of Christ this week.
