We start our Christian Education GIFT program for the 2026-2027 school year tonight ! Come for spaghetti at 5:30 plus fellowship time before we start our mission project work at 6:30. Ages 4-confirmation age are welcome plus any adults who wish to join us!

This week is the Blessing of the Backpacks in all four of our congregations. As the school year begins, we will bless backpacks, students, teachers and others as the school year begins. Adults, if you also carry a pack, a tote bag, or a briefcase, please bring it so we may include you in this blessing.

St. Paul’s Liberty Township and Trinity, Fort Recovery at 9 am.

St. Paul Washington Township and Zion, Portland, IN at 10:30 am.

Today, Sunday August 16, our hymn board will be blank as we are having a Visitation Sunday.

We'll be back together next Sunday, August 23, for 9:00 am Worship service and Holy Communion with Pastor Ron.

SPL Worship service info for 7-12-2026

Greetings & God's peace to all!
You will not find us @ 9380 Wabash Rd. this morning as we are having a "Visitation Sunday! Pastor Ron is with the folks @ St. Paul Washington, camping & leading worship this weekend.

This gives us an opportunity to worship with our other sister church families in the Wabash Valley Cooperative Ministry. Pastor Eliza is @ Trinity Ft. Recovery for 9:00 am Worship/Holy Communion and @ Zion, Portland, 10:30 am Worship/ Holy Communion.

We'll be back in our SPL (air-conditioned) building next Sunday @ 9:00 am with Pastor Eliza to welcome you!

We were truly blessed with a surprise visitor who traveled with Pastor Eliza Wertenberger to SPL for our 9:00 am worship service this morning...Sully!!

Sully brought to mind the children's Sunday School song that has the chorus...
"All God's creatures got a place in the choir. Some SING LOW, some sing higher, some sing out loud on the telephone wire and some just clap their hands or PAWS, or anything they got now."

God's love can shine through...even a tail wag...

Sully also got to visit our Co-op sister church family, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Coldwater, OH for their 10:30 am service with Pastor Eliza.

We gather to be refreshed by Christ's invitation:

Pastor Eliza is with us as we gather for our 9:00 am service.

All are welcome!
If you are traveling through our area or want to attend an early service, please join us. Dress is casual. Our building is air conditioned. We'll welcome you at the front doors.

Our special project this month is the ingathering of canned or dried fruit for the local food pantries.
