Prayer walking Winthrop’s campus today. City Church is going to be a church for all generations, but you better believe we are going to strategically, generously, and sacrificially invest in the next generation – and particularly the nearly 5000 college students right here in our backyard.

Many people are spiritually open, but institutionally wary because the Christians that they’ve met are either hypocritical or frankly just not living a life that they would see as good or appealing. Meanwhile, Jesus tells his disciples to be salt and light - preserving truth, goodness, and beauty in the world in a way that makes others see their lives and praise God.

At Hill City, we’re aiming to build that kind of compelling community.

Want to join in? Begin by adopting our 5 Core Rhythms in your life:
1. Pray for your ONE daily.
2. Read and apply the Bible daily.
3. Practice intentionality and hospitality with your neighbors weekly.
4. Commit to gathering regularly.
5. Give generously and sacrificially to the mission.

Just wanted to hop on to say a very happy Easter to everybody! Everything we are in the process of doing as a church plant hinges on this reality — that Jesus really did live, really did die in our place, and really did rise again from the grave! He lives today, and because of that, we have hope!

I also want to share some good news on our matching grant we shared about last week – it is fully funded! Thank you for all of you who generously participated in this match. God continues to be so good in providing for the vision He’s given for Hill City Church.

We are still aiming to raise around $300K to help launch and establish Hill City over the next three years. I hope you’ll consider how you might participate in bringing the life-changing message of Easter to more and more people in the Rock Hill community by giving to these planting efforts.
