We’re honored to welcome the York County Sheriff’s Office to Lakewood Baptist Church for a Community Meet & Greet next Thursday!

This is a great opportunity to meet Tony Breeden York County Sheriff and key members of the YCSO, ask questions, learn more about the work they’re doing in our community, and show our support for the men and women who serve and protect York County. 💙

We’d love to see our Lakewood family and our neighbors come out, get to know our local law enforcement, and help strengthen the relationships that make our community better.

Join us from 5–7pm as we get fired up for the 2026–2027 Awana year. After information is shared and Awana gear is distributed, the kids get to cool off with water balloons, a foam party, sno-cones, and more fun surprises! 💦

As stadium lights come on across our area this weekend, we’re especially thankful for a new opportunity God has given Lakewood to invest in our local schools.

This 🏈 season, Lakewood is partnering with the Rock Hill High School football team, providing pregame meals and sharing team devotions on game days! This past Sunday, we were blessed to welcome several Bearcat players and members of the coaching staff for breakfast, fellowship, and worship.

We’re excited about this partnership and the opportunity to build relationships, encourage these young men, and share the love of Christ beyond the walls of our church.

Our prayers and support extend beyond one sideline. ❤️🖤💜💛❤️🩶

To the players, coaches, cheerleaders, bands, students, families, teachers and staff representing all of our area high schools — Lakewood is cheering you on! We pray for safe games, good sportsmanship, strong character and a season filled with opportunities to make a positive difference.

Join us for our midweek series that starts tomorrow, 8/19, and takes place each Wednesday from 6:30pm - 7:30pm in the youth room.

Bring a friend (6th - 12th grade) and join us as we look at what it means to live an AUDACIOUS life by being bold in our faith.

🔥 Awana is starting soon, so let’s get fired up...then cool off! 💦

Bring the whole family to our Awana Family Kickoff Celebration on Sunday, August 23, from 5-7pm! We’ll begin in the sanctuary to share what’s planned for the year, distribute calendars, and help families purchase books and club gear. Then we’ll enjoy hot dogs, water balloons, a foam party, and a few surprises!

Please register your children (from 2 years through 5th grade) before the kickoff so we can have their materials ready and begin a successful year of learning, growing, and strengthening our faith together.
