In Oct. of 2013 several couples sat down with Shea and I to listen to our hearts concerning what God was calling us to do and quickly bought in. 5 months later in March of 2014 Refuge Church opened it's doors. The last 5 years have been amazing. We have seen God do incredible things and have built great relationships along the way. We partnered with great organizations in our city that allowed us to do outreach without recreating the wheel and still be effective.

Over the last year, as happens to a great deal of church plants, we have hit some hard places. In light of that the decision has been made to now close the doors of Refuge.

This is not the end of Refuge as our vision was never about the confines of a building but about the greater purpose of the Great Commission and that is to reach the lost. Refuge is way of life. Refuge is a model of discipleship that pushes us to seek out a Biblically authentic and Spirit-filled life. Refuge will go on in each of our hearts and lives.

To ALL of you who have stuck with us and worked with us I give you my sincerest of appreciation. I can not thank you enough for ALL that you have done to support us. Your love and devotion has meant so much to us. My family and I are praying for you and ask that you do the same for us.

Refuge.....we LOVE you.

Instead of regular service tomorrow we will be having a special meeting with everyone at 10:30 am. Please meet us in the gym. We will have something for the kids next door.
