The official page for the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) for Winthrop University We are located on Oakland, right across from the President's house.

We are a group of students here to accomplish a simple mission: Love God and love our campus. We believe that concise statement is loaded with a broad spectrum of applications. We express our love of God through worship, service, and actively becoming more like Jesus. We express our love for our campus by serving others and sharing with them the greatest gift we have ever been given. And we do all

of this filled with a joy and excitement that can not be matched. If you are already a Christ-follower or curious as to what we are all about, come join us for a free meal one Thursday night at 7:00 and stay for our Refuge worship gathering. Winthrop BCM has ministered to students in Rock Hill for over 100 years. That's almost 37,000 days. Days where students came into a relationship with Jesus, found opportunities to serve on missions, shared the Good News with those who never heard, and grew deeper in their faith.

Looking to the days ahead, our student leaders are reaching out to friends and family asking them to help with a Calendar Fundraiser. Those who support will choose a day of the month and then give the amount that corresponds to that day. So for example, if they choose the 7th, they will then donate $7 to BCM. It can be a one time donation or some are even choosing a day and giving that amount each month for a year.

The money we raise will be used to send students on summer missions, allow us to offer scholarships for events like Fall Retreat and Converge, provide for intentional outreach opportunities, and help support BCM staff. Our ultimate goal is to raise around $7,000 to fund these needs and more. Currently, we are about half-way there.

If you or someone you know has been impacted by BCM, would you be willing to choose a day so that we can provide many more days of impact for students on our campuses? We need all days on the calendar, even those towards the first of the month. Every little bit counts. You can give securely (one-time or recurring) online at winthropbcm.churchcenter.com/giving, through our Venmo (), or by sending a check made out to Winthrop BCM to 620 Oakland Ave, Rock Hill, SC 29730. All gifts made through the website and through check are tax deductible. In the note for these you can write “calendar fundraiser”.

Some of you may have already given and for that we are extremely grateful. Some of you may only be able to give a few dollars and for that we are also grateful! Thank you for being willing to make the days of other students as powerful as your days with BCM.

!!!C O N V E R G E 2 0 2 4!!!🏝️

This weekend we took 39 students to BCM Converge Conference to grow in Jesus, relationships with others, and individual growth.

We learned about the goodness of God through the Gospel as we leverage our lives in a way to live, share, and grow in our trust in God.
Here are some things to celebrate/pray:

- Many of our students accepted a call to ministry !!
- Some took the next step to fully accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior !!
- We got to worship alongside other BCM’s with one thing in mind: God !!
