Nothing at Wesley happens in a vacuum, especially not Welcome Week! Here are just some of the faces and moments that made our kickoff yesterday possible. Thank you to all the South Carolina UMC churches of the Rock Hill District who contributed to goodie bags for new students, and especially to members of Aldersgate UMC, Cornerstone UMC, Mt. Olive UMC, New Hope UMC, and St. John’s UMC Rock Hill who joined us for New Student Convocation. We couldn’t do this without ALL of you!!

Update: Wesley-hatchie is wrapped up a day early!! We’ve finished all our planned projects for the week, but more is coming as we continue getting the Wesley House move-in ready! Reach out to Pastor Laurel if your church wants to schedule a work day.

AMA with Rev. Rachel Headden! Tonight, Wesley students will get to ask a local pastor ANYTHING. Rev. Rachel Headden is a young clergy woman currently serving as a provisional member in the South Carolina Annual Conference. God willing she will be ordained in June 2027. She earned her B.A. in Religious Studies from Stetson University in 2021 and went on to complete her Master of Divinity at Perkins School of Theology in August 2024. Beyond her ministry, Rev. Headden cherishes her role as a wife to Cameron Headden and as well as a mother to their  wild 2 year old, Charlie. She believes deeply in the power of community, and discipleship, striving to create spaces where all people can encounter God in meaningful and intentional ways. Whether preaching, teaching, or walking alongside people, she is committed to fostering a faith that is both transformative and deeply rooted in love and grace.
