It's here, it's here! (does this make anyone else think of the phonebook scene from Steve Martin's The Jerk?)

In case you missed the email, the handbook for Sunday's virtual Stated Meeting is ready! Though it's not *quite* as thick as an old school phone book, there's a LOT happening and this is the best way for you to be ready for the meeting.

The PC(USA) General Assembly is underway in Milwaukee, WI and we are delighted to see the smiles of the delegates from Providence as their work continues today.

We thank God for the talents and wisdom our Young Adult Advisory Delegate Kate Robeson, Ruling Elder Commissioner Sue Williams and Teaching Elder Commissioner Rev. Dr. Joanne Sizoo (left to right) bring to the 227th General Assembly.

The work they are doing this week is so important as the GA discusses topics ranging from the denomination's stance on Christian Nationalism, its role in social justice issues and discerning God's path forward for us in our reformed identity.

We look forward to hearing their post-GA reports at our August 16th virtual stated meeting and are always grateful for the chance to be . If you'd like updates from the GA in real time, please visit: https://pcusa.org/about-pcusa/church-structure/general-assembly/general-assembly-gathering

Reminder: Our Presbytery meeting survey closes in three days!
39 people have responded so far. These responses will help shape the future of our meeting times and days so your input is greatly valued.
Visit https://bit.ly/ppmeetingsurvey to respond today!

The Presbytery Coordinating Team is exploring a possible change to the meeting day and time to better serve our members.

Providence Presbytery currently holds four stated meetings per year, typically on Sunday afternoons. You are invited to take a brief survey to help the Coordinating Team make a well-informed recommendation to the body relating to this matter.

Your input is valued — this should take about 3 minutes. To access the survey, please either scan the QR code or visit: bit.ly/ppmeetingsurvey.

Responses will be collected until May 31st.

Friend of Providence Presbytery and Winthrop University professor Dr. Ginger Williams embarked on an impactful journey this week -- to walk the Migrant Trail in order to honor the people who have lost their lives on their migrant journey to the US.

Ginger is also raising money on this trip to help Frontera de Cristo, which provides employment opportunities to people living on the border in Mexico, and Carolina Immigrant Alliance which helps immigrants in Rock Hill with immigration applications and paperwork. Gifts of all sizes are welcome using the link in our comments. 👇

"I want to make sure members of my session see this recording!"

That's how valuable our latest Ministry Toolbox conversation was for one participant. We hope you'll agree!

Steve sat down with Olanda Carr, Ministry Resource Officer with the Presbyterian Foundation, to discuss all the ways congregations can take advantage of the no cost financial services the foundation offers.

You can catch the recording by clicking the link in our comments!
