Hope Fellowship Church

Hope Fellowship Church A family of Christ followers We are God's people because we are followers, or apprentices, of Jesus the Christ.

Jesus' purpose in coming to earth was to enable people of all nations to have an authentic and relevant relationship with his Father. Jesus taught unequivocally that he is the only way to the Father, the only source of forgivenss from our defiance against a holy God. Once a person accepts Jesus by faith for who he is and what he did, the rest of life is a journey of living out a new life of purpose and fulfillment.

True worship isn't something we can manufacture on our own! πŸ™ Jesus reveals that authentic worship comes only when the Holy Spirit ignites God's truth in our hearts, producing genuine affection for Him. It's not self-generated - it's Spirit-enabled!

How Would Jesus Describe Your Worship? πŸ™

Pastor Patrick closed Sunday with a question we can't stop thinking about.

"How would Jesus describe your worship?"

Bob Kauflin said it this way β€” and it was on the screen Sunday:

"Regardless of what we think or feel, there is no authentic worship of God without a right knowledge of God."

True worship isn't just emotion. It isn't just singing loud or feeling something on Sunday morning. It's rooted in knowing who God actually is β€” and coming to Him honestly because of that.

And this line from Sunday stopped us completely:

"Our true worship of God is evidence of a true conversion by the Holy Spirit."

The better we know God through His Word, the more genuine our worship becomes.

So the question stands: How would Jesus describe yours?

You don't have to answer out loud. But it's worth sitting with honestly today. πŸ™πŸ’›

πŸ’‘ Did you know there's only ONE thing the Bible says the Father seeks? Not our good works, not our ministry, but TRUE WORSHIP in spirit and truth.

The Father Is Seeking You
"But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him."
β€” John 4:23 ESV

Read that again slowly.

The Father is SEEKING true worshipers.

Not performing worshipers.
Not perfect worshipers.
True worshipers.

People who come to Him honestly β€” with their whole heart, not just their Sunday morning face.

Sunday's message reminded us that true worship cannot be self-produced. It comes from God's Spirit working within us. We can't manufacture it β€” we can only receive it. πŸ™

Save this verse and let it reshape how you approach worship this week. πŸ’›

True Worship β€” It Starts in the Heart πŸ™

Sunday's message at Hope Fellowship hit close to home.
Pastor Patrick preached from John 4 on True Worship β€” and the question he left us with is one we're still sitting with:

"How would Jesus describe your worship?"

Not our singing. Not our attendance. Not how we look on Sunday morning. Our worship.

Here's the truth from Sunday that we're carrying into this week:

True worship is not about a physical location β€” it's about the spiritual condition of the heart.

You can be in the room and not be truly worshiping. You can be far from a church building and worship deeply.

Because the Father isn't seeking perfect people. He's seeking true worshipers β€” people who come to Him in spirit and in truth. πŸ’›

Raise your hand if you need the weekend πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈβ˜€οΈ
Whatever this week threw at you β€” the stress, the mess, the unexpected β€” you made it to Friday.
And here's the thing: He was ALWAYS there in the middle of it.
Rest well this weekend. We'll see you Sunday. πŸ’›

"But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere." β€” 2 Corinthians 2:14
One word from this verse has been sitting with us since Sunday: ALWAYS.
Pastor Al pointed out β€” don't you hate it when you forget something? An appointment, a name, your wallet? (He lost his wallet many years ago and still doesn't know where it is πŸ˜„)
But God never loses anything. He never forgets. He is ALWAYS leading, ALWAYS working, ALWAYS present.
Even on your hardest days β€” you are in His victory parade. πŸ™Œ
Save this verse for the week. πŸ™
