St. John’s Receives the Bridge of Care Award!

This past spring, our St. John’s family came together to help provide food and essential items for 25 vulnerable families in our community as they headed into summer break.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, each family received thoughtfully prepared bags filled with breakfast, lunch and dinner items, snacks, paper products, and a $100 Food Lion gift card to help provide a little extra support during the summer months.

We recently received a beautiful note sharing just how much this outreach meant to these families. More than providing groceries, your generosity reminded our neighbors that they are seen, valued, loved, and not alone.

In recognition of this ministry, St. John’s has been presented with the Bridge of Care Award!

What a wonderful reflection of what can happen when we answer the call to love our neighbors and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shopped, packed, delivered, prayed, and helped make this ministry possible. This award belongs to all of you!

Join us for a Community Taizé Service this Wednesday, September 2, at 7:00 PM upstairs at The Mercantile.

Through prayer, candlelight, music, and quiet reflection, we’ll create space to slow down, breathe, and rest in God’s presence. All are welcome—bring a friend and join us for this meaningful evening of worship.

A special milestone for our third graders! Today, each of them received a Bible of their very own as we celebrated their growing faith and encouraged them to continue discovering God’s Word. We are so grateful to walk alongside these young disciples as they learn, grow, and ask big questions. 💙
