🌍 The world is loud, and it's competing for your kids' hearts every single day.

This Sunday for Week 2 of our Family Under Fire series, we’re tackling this head-on with Raising Kids in Babylon. We'll be looking at Deuteronomy 6 to find practical, biblical tools to intentionally disciple our kids, guard their hearts, and build a lasting foundation of faith.

🎨🎭 VBS 2026: WEEK 2 PRAYER FOCUS 🎭🎨

It’s Week 2 of our June countdown to VBS: Emerald Crossing! If you walk through the church right now, you’ll see supplies gathering and big plans forming.

In Psalm 23:3, we read that the Shepherd "leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake." This week, our prayer calendar focuses heavily on the teams who are creating those physical and spiritual "paths" for our kids—the crews transforming our building into the rolling hills of Ireland!

👉 Please join us in praying this week for:

- The Daily Schedule & Scripts: For a smooth flow and for our drama team to glorify Christ through their skits (June 7-8).

- The Creative Teams: For our craft leaders, music leaders, and the decorating crew as they design an unforgettable environment (June 9-10, 12).

- Relationships: That our workers will be excellent ambassadors for Christ and grow closer to Him themselves (June 11, 13).

Today we honor the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering resolve of the men who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944. Their bravery helped secure freedom for future generations and reminds us that liberty is never free.

As we remember those who gave so much, may we live with gratitude, cherish the freedoms we enjoy, and pray for those who continue to serve our nation.

🙏✨ VBS 2026: PRAYER FOCUS ✨🙏

Happy first week of June, Eastside family! We are officially counting down to VBS: Emerald Crossing this July. As we look at our "VBS Prayer Calendar June2026", this first week is all about laying a strong foundation and praying for the hands preparing the way.

This year, our kids and youth are diving into Psalm 23 to learn about the Good Shepherd. Psalm 23:1 reminds us, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." Before a single child walks through our doors, we want to rest in the truth that God provides everything we need—including the incredible team making this week possible!

👉 This week, please join us in praying daily for:

- Our Volunteers & Directors: For physical energy, wisdom, and hearts sensitive to the kids' needs (June 1-2).
- The Atmosphere: That this entire VBS will be thoroughly bathed in prayer (June 3).
- Our Leaders & Community: For safety in travel, promotion in our community, and class helpers to work together in unity (June 4-6).
