We had guests from the Trader Joes crew today to help us yesterday at our food service. These are the blessed hands that take extra time to find and save the food that other grocery stores throw away and set it aside for us to share with our neighbors. For over a decade, these employees have been saving whole bags of fruit with maybe one bad piece inside of it, 11 eggs in a carton because one is cracked, vegetables just a little past their prime and passing it on to our ministry. It was good to see what they do and for them to see how we use that extra work and effort to give a box of food to roughly 20 families a week. Thanks for the visit, you are welcome any time!
