There are people whose presence becomes part of the heart of a church family. Our church member and brother in Christ, Joe Widmer, was one of those people.

With heavy hearts, we mourn his passing and give thanks for the blessing of knowing him. Joe truly was a great man, and for those who knew him, loved him, worshipped beside him, and shared life with him, this loss is deeply felt.

His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the memories we carry, and the love that remains among those who surrounded him. Each of us holds a piece of his story—a conversation, a kindness, a moment that may have seemed small at the time but means so much now. Those are the gifts we will carry forward.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23

These words feel especially meaningful as we remember Joe. We grieve because he mattered. We give thanks because we knew him. And we hold onto the promise that, through Christ, death does not have the final word.

Please join our Faith Community church family in praying for Joe’s family, friends, and everyone whose life was made better by knowing him.

Rest in peace, Joe. You were deeply loved, and your life leaves a lasting mark on ours. ❤️
