Pax Christi Church

Pax Christi Church Pax Christi is a Eucharistic community united to continue the mission and message of Jesus. I am the pastor, Fr. Fr. John

On behalf of the good people of Pax Christi Parish, I'd like to welcome you to our page and our faith community. John Sauer, who shares the mission of Jesus with a talented and caring staff. Founded in 1973, we are a Eucharistic community committed to living the mission and message of Jesus. When Jesus appeared to his disciples on Easter he said, Peace be with you.” We share this peace w

ith our community. Through our vibrant faith formation, youth and young adult ministry as well as the Rochester Catholic Schools we encounter the Lord. In our liturgies we are transformed to become the hands and feet of Christ. And in our social justice ministry and outreach to the poor we share the love of Christ. I'd like to invite you to pray, sing and celebrate with us and experience Christ alive in this community and in your life.

Thanks for joining us this summer for our Summer Picnics! ☀️
We’re grateful for the many parishioners, families, friends, and neighbors who gathered with us this summer—including for our July 22 concert with Connor Flanagan!
A special thank you to all of our volunteers who helped make these evenings possible. We are blessed with a wonderful community here at Pax Christi!
As summer winds down, we pray for all of our young people, families, teachers, catechists/mentors and staff as a new school & faith formation year begins—and for all that the Lord has in store for us in the year ahead at Pax Christi. 🙏

Every abortion involves the death of a child and harm to the mother. Now with easier access to abortion pills, the abortion rate is tragically climbing, along with increased health risks.

The Food and Drug Administration has enabled a nationwide mail-order abortion industry by allowing abortion pills to be prescribed in telehealth appointments and sold both at neighborhood pharmacies and online, circumventing state laws that protect life in the womb. This leaves women vulnerable to suffering an abortion alone at home, without any medical supervision. It also sets up additional opportunities for exploitation by violent partners or human traffickers.

From now through the end of October, Respect Life Month, the USCCB Committee on Pro-Life Activities is inviting Catholics to join a focused effort of prayer and action to stop the spread of abortion pills. In addition to invoking the intercession of St. Joseph, Defender of Life, participants can learn about the danger of abortion pills, and can send messages to pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies that are involved.

Good questions to ask candidates running for office 👇

With the primary elections on August 11 and the general election on November 3, MCC staff created a guide of questions to help you get a better sense of where candidates stand on issues so that you can be informed as you vote.

Here the full list: mncatholic.org/election2026

We encourage you to reach out and talk to candidates about these issues, and their positions can often be found on their website or on social media as well.

Help us share the hope and joy of Christ! ✨
As we enter Year 2 of Mission Ignite at Pax Christi (July 2026–June 2027), our parish will be focusing on Invitation & Evangelization — reaching out, building relationships, and helping others take their next step closer to Jesus.
This fall (in late October), we will launch our first ChristLife “Discovering Christ” series, and we are looking for parishioners who can help this exciting mission through our evangelization team!
We are seeking people to serve on both our core team and support team — helping with small groups, hospitality/welcoming, meals, prayer, music, and other important roles that will help create a place where people can encounter Christ and grow in faith.
You don’t need to have all the answers — you just need a heart willing to share Christ with others. ❤️
