OWCC One Way Community Church We’re a casual, come-as-you-are kind of church. You’ll see jeans, khakis, dresses, boots, and sandals.

There’s lots of laughter, plenty of grace, and a genuine love for God’s Word. We take the Bible seriously and believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. You’ll see jeans, khakis, dresses, boots, and sandals—whatever you’re comfortable in. We take the Bible seriously and believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit—always in a way that’s rooted in Scripture and led by love. We’re learning how to worship in both spirit and truth, and we believe with all our hearts that God is good, does good, and calls us to love one another well.

Following Jesus is about more than showing up, going through the motions, or checking a box on Sunday. It’s about giving God our hearts, our trust, and our willingness to follow Him, even when it costs us something.

In 2 Samuel 24, King David refused to offer a sacrifice to God that cost him nothing. His words challenge us to examine our own hearts. Are we giving God what is convenient, or are we offering Him our very best?

God gave everything for us. Our response is to live with hearts fully surrendered to Him.

What is one area of your life where God may be asking you to trust Him more deeply?

“No, I insist on buying it, for I will not present burnt offerings to the LORD my God that have cost me nothing.” - 2 Samuel 24:24

What does it truly mean to live as a living sacrifice?

In our latest message, "Consumed for Christ," Pastor Dustin explores the life of King David and what it takes to pursue God with an undivided heart.

Looking at 2 Samuel 24, we see a defining moment where David refuses to offer burnt offerings to God that cost him nothing. True devotion isn't about convenience—it requires laying down our self-reliance, surrendering our own plans, and allowing the Holy Spirit to consume every area of our lives.

As a body of believers, we are called to move beyond routine church attendance or simply being a social club. We are invited to step out of the huddle, put our faith into action, and seek God's presence deeply.

Watch or listen to the full message today to be encouraged and challenged in your walk with the Lord.

Key Scriptures Covered:
2 Samuel 23 & 24 (The Mighty Men and the Threshing Floor of Araunah)
Romans 12:1–2 (Presenting your body as a living sacrifice)
James 2:14–26 (Faith without works is dead)
1 Corinthians 12:1–11 (Spiritual gifts and manifestations)

Join us as we seek to live as a church on the altar, drawing closer to God together.

Please share this post with family and friends who need spiritual encouragement today!

Following Jesus isn't just about what we believe. It's about how we live.

After His resurrection, Jesus gave His disciples a mission: go, make disciples, and teach others to follow His commands. And He didn't send them out alone. He promised to be with them always and told them to wait for the power of the Holy Spirit.

That same reminder matters for us today.

We need Jesus when we're struggling. We need Him when we're uncertain. And we need Him when everything seems to be going well.

We aren't called to live out our faith in our own strength. We're called to walk with Him, listen to the Holy Spirit, love people well, and take the next step of obedience, even when it seems small.

You never know how God might use one simple act of kindness, one encouraging word, or one moment of obedience in someone else's life.

“Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:20

Lord, give us more of You. Help us follow You today and every day.

Sometimes life doesn't turn out the way we expected.

We pray. We hope. We trust God. And then something happens that leaves us confused, disappointed, or wondering what comes next.

On the road to Emmaus, two of Jesus' followers were grieving and struggling to understand everything that had happened. They thought their hope was gone. But as they walked, Jesus came alongside them, even though they didn't recognize Him at first.

He listened. He opened the Scriptures to them. And as He spoke, their hearts began to burn within them.

What a beautiful reminder that Jesus meets us in the middle of our questions, our disappointments, and our uncertainty.

We may not understand what God is doing, but we can keep walking with Him, listening to His Word, and trusting Him along the way.

They said to each other, “Didn't our hearts burn within us as he talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?” - Luke 24:32

You don't have to have everything figured out to keep walking with Jesus.

Have you ever wished you could go back and do something differently?

Peter knew what it was like to fail. He denied Jesus three times, even after declaring his devotion to Him. But after the resurrection, Jesus met Peter beside a charcoal fire and gave him something he desperately needed: restoration.

Jesus didn't tell Peter he was disqualified. He called him to love Him and care for His people.

Our failures don't have to be the end of our story. When we turn back to Jesus, His grace meets us right where we are and reminds us that there's still a path forward.

You don't have to be perfect to follow Jesus. You just have to be willing to obey Him.

A third time he asked him, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, "Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you." Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep.” - John 21:17

Wherever you've stumbled, remember this: Jesus is still calling you closer.

Most movies and quick summaries skip straight from Easter Sunday to the Ascension. But between the empty tomb and heaven, there were 40 days filled with life-changing encounters!

In the final message of our Give Me Jesus series, The Resurrection and Beyond, Pastor Dustin explores why these 40 days matter so much to our daily walk with God:

The Charcoal Fire (John 21): Why Jesus restored Peter at the exact same type of fire where Peter had denied Him—showing us that grace always provides a way back.

The Road to Emmaus (Luke 24): How Jesus enters our moments of grief and despair, causing our hearts to burn as He opens the Scriptures.

The Great Commission (Matthew 28): Why telling others how to live in truth, love, and gentleness is at the core of making disciples.

Some battles are hard enough without trying to fight them by ourselves.

When we're struggling with an old habit, battling discouragement, or trying to become more like Jesus, it's easy to withdraw and convince ourselves we should handle everything alone.

But that's not how God designed the body of Christ.

We need people who will pray with us. People who will remind us of God's truth when we've forgotten it. People who will encourage us to keep going and lovingly point us back to Jesus when we get off track.

We weren't meant to carry every burden in isolation. Sometimes the next step toward freedom is admitting we need help and allowing another believer to walk alongside us.

There is strength in praying together, growing together, and reminding one another of the hope we have in Jesus. And that's one of the beautiful things about the church. We get to walk this journey of faith together.

Following Jesus isn't just about what we believe. It's also about allowing Him to change how we live.

Sometimes that means confronting the things we'd rather ignore. Maybe it's anger that keeps getting the best of us. Maybe it's gossip, pride, dishonesty, or words that hurt the people we love.

Whatever God is bringing to your attention, you don't have to pretend it's not there.

Jesus showed us the pattern in the Garden of Gethsemane: bring the struggle to God in prayer and surrender to His will. Then take the next step. Find God's truth. Practice a different response. Choose what honors Him, even when it isn't easy.

And remember, this isn't about trying harder in your own strength. It's about surrendering to the One who has already broken the power of sin.

Jesus didn't go to the cross simply to make our lives more comfortable. He came to redeem us and transform us.

What might God be asking you to surrender so you can walk in the freedom He has for you?

Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. - Romans 6:12
