We are a Bible-based, Bible-teaching, non-denominational, love-first seeking ministry located in Riverview, Florida. At Love First Christian Center (LFCC), we strive to create an environment where you come as guests and leave as family. Pastor Jomo Cousins teaches us to be hearers as well as doers of God's Word. LFCC is committed to receiving God's best while being an evangelist of God's Word and

living according to His Will. We invite you to join us for one of our many services on Sundays at 7:45am, 9:45am, or 11:45am. We offer Teen Ministry on Sundays at 9:45am at the "Teen Zone" located adjacent to the church at 12903 Gordon Rd, Riverview, Fl 33579. We also have a Nursery (6 to 18 month-olds) and Children's Ministry (2 to 12 yrs old) available during our 9:45am and 11:45am services. Love First Christian Center is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) organization.

What you’re facing didn’t catch God by surprise. Before the trial reached your life, it passed through His hands. The enemy may have a plan, but he still needs permission. That means if God allowed it, He has already equipped you to endure it. The struggle may shake you, but it doesn’t have to break you. Jesus isn’t just praying for your situation. He’s praying for your faith. He’s praying for the part of you that still believes, still trusts, and still stands when everything around you feels uncertain.

Hold on. God is working even in what you don’t understand.

There are moments when following Jesus feels harder than you expected.

Maybe life didn’t go the way you prayed it would. Maybe you’ve wrestled with loss, sickness, disappointment, or change. Maybe you’ve questioned God when things didn’t make sense. And if we’re honest, many of us have considered walking away from what God called us to do because staying faithful felt too difficult.

But your calling is not based on comfort. It’s built on obedience.

When the storms come, when leadership changes, when ministry gets hard, when prayers seem unanswered, you have a choice: return to what feels safe, or trust God even when you don’t understand His plan.

Don’t quit in the middle of what God is doing. The same God who called you is the God who will sustain you.

Stay on the ship. Keep the faith. Keep moving forward.

God never wastes the process ⏱️

Just like a pencil already contains everything it needs to fulfill its purpose, God has already placed gifts, calling, and potential inside of you. The challenge is that sometimes there are things on the outside that need to be removed before what’s inside can be revealed.

The sharpening may come through relationships, challenges, correction, disappointments, or seasons you didn’t choose. It may feel uncomfortable, but God is not trying to destroy you. He’s developing you.

John Mark went through a process before becoming the man God used to write the Gospel of Mark. What looked like setbacks were actually preparation for something greater.

If you’re in a season of shaping, don’t quit. Trust the process. Trust God’s timing. Trust His hand. The same God who started the work in you is faithful to finish it.

Your story is still being written, and what God is building through your life could impact generations to come.

We prayed over our Missions Ministry as they prepare to carry the Gospel to Kenya 🇰🇪 and Uganda 🇺🇬 this week. We’re believing God for safe travels, divine protection, wisdom, strength, and transformed lives through the power of His Word.

As they go as the hands and feet of Jesus, we stand with them in prayer, covering every mile, every message preached, and every soul that will encounter the love of God.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few…” Matthew 9:37

Please keep our team lifted in prayer as they answer the call to spread the Good News to the nations. 🙏🏾

Tomorrow has become the greatest excuse for change.

“Tomorrow I’ll get serious about God.”
“Tomorrow I’ll let go of that habit.”
“Tomorrow I’ll forgive.”
“Tomorrow I’ll pray more.”
“Tomorrow I’ll change my lifestyle.”

But tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us.

Some of us are entertaining things today that are killing us slowly spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and even physically. Some of us know exactly what God has been convicting us about, but we keep pushing conviction into another day.

The scary part is that one day, tomorrow runs out.

God is calling us to examine our lives today. How are you living? What are you connected to? What habits are pulling you away from Him? What relationships, addictions, mindsets, or compromises have become normal to you?

Stop waiting for the perfect moment to change. Start today. Pray today. Repent today. Obey today. Heal today. Forgive today.

Because all we truly have is this moment.
