Peace Lutheran Church is a WELS church in Rio Rancho, NM. We are a confessional Lutheran church. Services are led by Pastor Eric Ziecker.

PLC is a Christ-centered, Bible-based church dedicated to faithfully bringing the world's changeless Savior, Jesus Christ, to an ever-changing world. Services are at 9:30 on Sunday mornings followed by a Bible study for the adults and Sunday School for the younger children at 10:45. Support for the Bible in historical archaeology is to be expected. Why? Even apart from archaeology the Bible is self-authenticating. It claims to be God’s Word, authoritative, truthful, and Spirit‑inspired. For believers, this internal testimony—combined with its unity, prophetic fulfillment, and transformative power—constitutes the basis for its self‑authenticating nature. [cf. Unlike the apostles who were directed by their Lord to exorcise demons [Matthew 10:1,8; Mark 3:14-15], Christ's followers today have been directed to "Go and make disciples" through Baptism and His teachings [Matthew 28:19-20]. He assures us that in this way He will be with us "until the end of the age."

Mixed Signals on Religion for Young Adults in U.S.

On the one hand, the very youngest adults (those aged 18 to 22), are reporting relatively high rates of attendance at religious services.

On the other hand, young adults slightly older (23 to 26) are the least religious age group when it comes to how often they pray, how important religion is in their lives, and how many of them identify with a religion. And the share who say they attend religious services at least monthly is among the lowest of any age group.

There is no clear evidence in the Center’s surveys that any birth cohort that can be tracked over time has become more religious in recent years.
