One of the stones that got cleaned today! The stone also got dug up and a new concrete foundation to stop the sinking. We do our best to keep all the stones beautiful and in good shape. Checkout that before and after pic at the end! 😍

We got out in between rain showers and got all the flags placed on our veterans! Been a slow day, but it’s looking beautiful out here! Happy Memorial Day Weekend ❤️🤍💙 Please let us know if you’re interested in buying any spaces! We will be out here all weekend. Stay safe!

More Memorial Day prep! We are almost all ready! Finishing touches will happen tomorrow, then flags will be placed Friday. We will be out here all weekend helping locate family, answering questions, selling lots, and accepting donations! Can’t wait to see everyone!

It’s only 2 weeks away, so it’s time to plan for Memorial Day weekend! Last year, I redid all the books and was finally able to put the entire cemetery into Excel. This led to more research, and I realized we have many more veterans than we originally thought. Because of that, and the fact that we had some flags that needed to be retired, we’ve bought almost 100 new flags. We’ve also got some larger flags to place by the entrance since everyone seemed to enjoy that last year! If you or your family need anything before Memorial Day weekend, please let us know. As always, we will be sitting out all weekend to help and collect donations. Thanks! 😊

Larry Franklin Bowman, 77, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born on August 18, 1948, in Excelsior Springs, the son of Reed Joseph Jep and Jennie Louise Mason Bowman. He was united in marriage to Janice Harlene ODell

I get alot of questions about how to clean stones. So here’s a quick little TikTok! I only use D2 Biological Solution. I order through Atlas Preservation. It’s safe and #1 recommended cleaner for headstones. (This is what they use in Arlington I believe.) Lots of water, soft bristle brushes, annnnd elbow grease. Let me know if you have any questions!
