In 1937, the automobile magnate Henry Ford, Sr. built a copy of the Ford chapel in Dearborn, MI here in Richmond Hill. Ford’s death, the property was sold to the local paper company and the church was not used any longer for worship. Several years later, the chapel became the property of the Diocese, made

possible through Mr. The building was renovated, and was named The Mission Chapel of St. Anne, Mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was dedicated on June 1, 1955.

The Marian Movement of Priests was started in 1972 by Servant of God Fr. Stefano Gobbi after a pilgrimage to Fatima. The movement aims to strengthen the Church by encouraging clergy and laypersons to consecrate themselves to the Immaculate Heart of Mary through prayer “cenacles” (small groups that pray together). We meet every Tuesday in the Martha Mary Hall from 1:00-2:00pm after Tuesday’s mass. All are welcome. Come weekly or as you’re able.
