After months of searching and interviewing candidates, the Pastoral Search Committee presented Pastor David Rodrigez to our congregation as their choice for the new Lead Pastor of Southside Church.

This last Sunday, Brother Dave (as he likes to be called) delivered the message followed by a Q&A session. A Congregational Meeting followed where we unanimously voted to accept Brother Dave as our new Lead Pastor, to which he and his wife Kelly gladly accepted.

Welcome Brother Dave, Kelly, and family to Southside. We look forward to you officially joining us in August!

Thank you Pat Wright and the entire search committee for all of your efforts in the task that was laid before you and discerning God's will for the future of our church.

Happy Easter! Pastor John returns today to deliver our Easter sermon, "Breaking: Good News!" which will look at Luke 24:1-9 and the discovery of Christ's empty tomb. We will also have some special music sung by the praise team, a special duet, and a children's sermon delivered by Pastor Chris prior to handing out Easter baskets to the kids.

Thursday April 2nd - Maundy Thursday meal and worship @ 5:30pm in the Fireside Room

Friday April 3rd - Good Friday Open Prayer Time 12:00 noon to 4:00pm in the Sanctuary

Easter Sunday April 5th - SonRise Service @ 8:00am followed by breakfast at 8:30am. Worship Service @ 10:00am (no education hour after).

Join us today at 10:00 am to hear Pastor John's sermon "Cleaning Up Our Act" which will look at John 13:4-7. In this passage Jesus and His disciples have gathered for the last supper. Jesus takes on the role of servant, showing us profound humility and servanthood by washing His disciples' feet. Through this act he teaches them, and us, the importance of serving others before ourselves and the embodiment of His perfect love.

Pastor John is back today with a sermon titled "God's Love." He will be teaching on John 15:9-17. See you at 10 here at the church or online via our livestream.

After service, the Southside Sisters will be serving a meal (spaghetti) with Art Broady's presentation following at 12:30 back in the sanctuary.
