First Sunday is Communion Sunday

We remember His body.
We honor His blood.
We proclaim His return.
That’s why Christians still come to the table.

1. We take communion because Jesus told us to.

“Do this in remembrance of Me.” — Luke 22:19

Communion is not a ritual; it’s a Christian command.

Jesus Himself established it at the Last Supper and told His followers to continue it. This makes communion a direct act of obedience.

2. We take communion to remember Christ’s sacrifice.

The bread represents His body.
The cup represents His blood.

Communion pulls our attention back to the cross; intentionally, reverently, and personally. It’s a holy reminder of what saved us.

3. We take communion to proclaim the gospel.

“For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.” — 1 Corinthians 11:26

Communion is a public declaration:
Jesus died. Jesus rose. Jesus is coming back. It’s worship, testimony, and proclamation all in one act.

4. We take communion to examine our hearts. Paul teaches that communion is a moment of self‑examination, repentance, and spiritual alignment. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about being honest before God.

5. We take communion because it unites the church. The early church broke bread together regularly.

Communion reminds us that we are one body, saved by one Savior, covered by one sacrifice. It’s a spiritual act of unity.

6. We take communion because it strengthens our faith. Communion is a physical act tied to a spiritual truth.

It helps believers experience the gospel, not just hear it. It’s a moment of renewal, gratitude, and spiritual grounding.

Communion is not about denomination; it’s about devotion.
It’s not about ritual; it’s about remembrance.
It’s not about earning salvation; it’s about honoring the One who gave it.

Manifestation isn’t a trend; it’s a Kingdom principle.

Christians don’t manifest by “the universe”… we manifest by the Word, the Spirit, and faith in what God already said.
When you believe, align, obey, and expect; God brings it into reality.
Biblical manifestation is real. And it’s ours.

Wednesday in the Word with Associate Pastor Baker!

08/31/2026

There is a kind of rest that sleep cannot give you. A peace that circumstances cannot explain. A strength that comes when you have nothing left to give.

When the presence of God rests upon you, the weight begins to lift. The burden becomes lighter, the heart finds peace, and the soul remembers that it does not have to carry everything alone.

You have carried it long enough. Give it to God.

His anointing brings strength where you are weak, peace where there is chaos, and rest where there has been struggle.

If you believe God is giving you rest in this season, declare it:

“LORD, I RECEIVE YOUR REST.”

We often ask God to fix what is around us when he is busy transforming what is inside us. The shift starts on the inside before it shows up on the outside. Keep standing in faith. May you find strength in the wait.

Today we honored culture, heritage, and identity but above all we also honored the call to unity as one body in Christ.

We were reminded us that true unity is rooted in Christ, expressed through love, strengthened in agreement, aligned in purpose, and surrendered to God.
International & Caribbean Sunday felt like the Kingdom.
