MCC began in 1968 as a small home church to provide a Christian sanctuary for LGBTQ people. Today, we have grown in numbers and purpose, and we are now an international denomination committed to radical inclusivity in all areas. We are a movement that celebrates the diversity of the whole human family and all of creation. Following the example of Jesus and empowered by the Spirit, we seek to be a

transformational community that demands, proclaims, and does justice in the world. We are a progressive Christian community that worships together in love, respecting the spiritual paths of each of our companions on the journey. We believe that what we say is important, but what we do about what we say makes all the difference. We are engaged in our community and our world whether it’s raising money for local agencies that serve those living with HIV/AIDS or feeding those without adequate food, lobbying our legislators to pass inclusive legislation that protects LGBTQ people from discrimination, or changing a culture of fear and hatred by living our lives out loud in our schools, our workplaces, and our community … MCC is putting feet to our Faith. We are trying to build a spiritual community that is real, relational, and relevant. Our Mission: We are a loving, open, and affirming Christian congregation celebrating the wholeness of body, mind, and spirit. Rooted in and reaching beyond the Rainbow Community, we are a lay-centered fellowship offering a safe and encouraging environment for spiritual transformation through worship, learning, growth, and service. Services: We worship at 10 a.m. every Sunday at 19369 Plantation Road in Rehoboth Beach, between Hwy 24 and Postal Lane. Our Communion: MCC churches throughout the world offer open communion. Dear Members & Friends of MCC Rehoboth,

Our 3 faithful HVAC systems have faithfully served our congregation for the past 13 years; however, you may have noticed that lately the sanctuary has been warm enough to make the candlesticks ask for some iced tea!!!!

One of our 3 systems has completely broken, and the remaining 2 are on their last compressor!!

I'm asking if you might prayerfully consider donating an extra gift this month to help us purchase the 3 new HVAC systems.

We already have one generous donor who has stepped forward and promised to match any gift, up to the value of $5,000, to help us reach our goal of $51,840

If you are able to help, please mark your gift 'HVAC' and either place it in the offering plate, donate via our PayPal link, or give a check directly to Jane, our Treasurer.

Whilst we welcome Holy Fire, we don't welcome it from our thermostat!!! Please help us keep the church cool, comfortable and not full of hot air!

We are accepting donations of items to sell at our upcoming Trunk Sale on 9/12.

If you have any small table items, kitchenalia, paintings, books, knick knacks, small furniture, puzzles, garden equipment etc. that you would like to donate, we would gladly accept them for our table. All funds will go into the MCCR Building Fund.

*** We cannot accept clothes ****

Tuesday 1st September 2026 at Cracker Barrel on Rte. 1

The men's and women's breakfasts have now combined into ONE monthly church breakfast, on the first Tuesday of every month, beginning September.

ALL are welcome to attend, as you are able.

For more information, please speak to Gary S, who is now in his 15th year of running the breakfasts for MCC Rehoboth
