🗣️ SHUT YOUR MOUTH! 👄

That’s the title of Pastor Russ’s message this Sunday as we continue our journey through the book of James in our series, “James and Jude: The Bros Know.”

📖 This week we’ll be diving into James 3, one of the most challenging and practical chapters in all of Scripture. James reminds us that while the tongue is small, it has the power to build up or tear down, bless or curse, heal or wound.

🤔 Question to consider before Sunday:
“Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?”

It’s a humorous question, but it points to a serious truth: What do our words reveal about our hearts?

Join us as we explore what God’s Word says about the power of our speech and how the Holy Spirit can help us use our words in ways that honor Christ and encourage others.

Today, we remember. 🇺🇸

We remember the sons and daughters, husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, and friends who never made it home. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend or a day off work — it is a sacred reminder that countless men and women gave everything so that others could live in freedom.

Their courage, sacrifice, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As a church, we pause today with grateful hearts to honor those who laid down their lives in service to our country. We also lift up the families carrying the weight of that loss every single day.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

From all of us at Redmond Assembly of God, thank you to our fallen heroes. ❤️🤍💙

May God comfort the grieving, strengthen our nation, and help us never take these sacrifices for granted.

God bless America.

📖✝️ This Sunday at Redmond Assembly of God, Pastor Russ will be concluding his teaching from James 2 with a message titled, “Conjoined Twins: Faith and Works.”

James challenges us with a powerful and uncomfortable question:
👉 Can dead faith save you?

What does genuine faith actually look like in everyday life?
Is faith simply something we believe… or something that transforms the way we live?

Join us this Sunday as we dive deeper into the book of James and discover how faith and works were never meant to be separated. 🔥

What a powerful Sunday at Redmond Assembly of God ❤️

As Pastor Russ continued teaching through the book of James, he challenged us to take an honest look at our hearts through the lens of God’s grace. Holding up a mirror before the congregation, he reminded us that when we look at what God has done for us, we should not see condemnation or death — we should see grace, mercy, forgiveness, and new life through Jesus Christ.

We also walked through James’ challenge to not merely hear the Word, but to live it out:
• Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger
• Show no partiality
• Honor the poor
• Receive the implanted Word and become doers of it

These weren’t just sermon points — they were a call to transformed living through the power of the Gospel.

We are so thankful for everyone who joined us this weekend. If you missed service, we’d love to invite you to join us next Sunday at 10 AM as we continue our series through James and Jude, “The Bros Know.” 🙌📖

📖 Join us this Sunday at Redmond Assembly of God! 🙌

Pastor Russ will be finishing his teaching from James 1 and beginning James 2 with a sermon titled, “True Religion.”

As we prepare for Sunday, take a moment to consider this question:

👉 Aside from fancy stitching and a snug fit, what does true religion look like?

The book of James challenges us to move beyond appearances and live out a faith that is genuine, active, and centered on Christ. Come ready to worship, grow, and be encouraged through God’s Word! ✨

🕙 Service begins at 10 AM
