Daily Bread - Father, today we come to intercede for those who have yet to know Jesus, the ones we talked about yesterday. Reveal Him through us to these people. Open their spiritual eyes to The Truth and to Your love. “Grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil…” (2 Tim. 2:25-26). In Jesus’ Name we bind the enemy from blinding their eyes. Thank you for giving us the strategies and boldness to reach the yet-to-know-God ones as we dwell in the secret place. We thank You for the billion plus harvest of souls that is even now at hand. Thank You for the privilege of sharing the good news of the gospel and bringing more sons and daughters into Your family. We rejoice and say “amen.”

Daily Bread - As we are tucked under God’s wings and remain ever aware of The Truth, we will not “be afraid of the terror by night, the arrow that flies by day, the pestilence that walks in darkness, or the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked” (Ps. 91:5-8). We are inaccessible to the enemy as we live day and night in God’s presence, for we clearly hear all that’s needed for us to remain safe regardless of how the enemy attempts to steal, kill, and destroy. And the bigger picture is we are to be prepared to shine our gospel light to the many who are without protection and headed for hell so they can know Jesus and come into the secret place too.

Daily Bread – In God’s presence we are protected from attempts of the enemy to get us off course and take us out of the spiritual battle in which we are engaged. Jesus continues, “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler” (Ps. 91:4). God’s truth is a critical part of the armor of God. Jesus said, “… If you abide (to stay in a given place, remain, tarry) in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” ‭‭(John‬ ‭8‬:‭31‬-‭32‬). Staying under the covering of God’s wings requires we live in The Truth. Walking outside the truth, makes us susceptible to deception which will lead to defeat, just as the devil did with Adam and Eve. ‬Decide today to live in The Word of Truth, and listen and respond to the Spirit of Truth.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Daily Bread - Here’s something to ponder. The Father allowed the whip, shame, crucifixion, sin, curse of the law, and death to be transferred from us to and into Jesus, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. And once the full price for our redemption was complete and we were born again, we were transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His Son. We were made righteous with His righteousness, given access to the throne room of our new Father, blessed and given authority over the enemy. Like John, I suppose that should the fullness of what Jesus bought for us be known, there aren’t enough books in the world that could contain all He’s done for us. As we fellowship with Him, greater understanding of these things will be imparted. Praise His glorious Name!

Daily Bread – Now that we’ve done and declared verses 1 and 2, Jesus tells us, “Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence” (Ps.‬ ‭91‬:‭3‬)‬‬. Who will the Father deliver? Those living in the secret place with God and trusting Him to be their refuge. Anyone who has a storm cellar for severe weather, knows in order to take advantage of its protection, they need to get in the shelter. ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬If they’re out and about, they may not have time to get back and be protected. Aren’t you thankful we can stay in the secret place with God and be aware of Him throughout the day so we aren’t caught off guard by anything that attempts to come our way?

Daily Bread - In Egypt, God set apart a place called Goshen for the Israelites. He prompted the Pharaoh to allow Joseph’s family to settle there. It was the best of the land of Egypt (Gen. 47:6). Judgment came to Egypt when another ruler arose who wouldn’t cooperate with God’s plan to let the children of Israel go worship God. Each of the ten plagues affected only the Egyptians. The Israelites weren’t touched by any judgments. Imagine flies or frogs harassing the Egyptians, but nary a one of those things crossed over into Goshen land. The lions didn’t cross over to kill Daniel. The fire didn’t cross over to burn the three Hebrew children. That’s our God! He’s well able to keep things that steal, kill, or destroy away from us as we dwell in the secret place and make Him our fortress.

Daily Bread - We now know what it means to live in the secret place of the Most High and how to avoid things that try to pull us from having a close, living relationship with God. I pray that all of us made a quality decision to live in His presence. Now we can declare Psalm 91:2 as a truth in our life for if we aren’t dwelling with Him, we’ve limited Him from being our complete refuge and fortress. “I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! (Ps. 91:2 AMPC). As we by faith live in and commune with God, declare who He is to us, and allow Him to be those things for us, we can take hold of the Psalm 91 promises.

Daily Bread - The atmosphere we allow in our home can impact the quality of relationship time we have with God. If the tv or music is blaring, or people are noisy or fighting, that isn’t conducive to our spending quality time with God. Ask Holy Spirit what you can do to create a special place and time to get alone with God, and to the best of your ability, make a standing appointment to meet with Him every day. One mother with young kids communed with God while cooking. She’d put her apron over her head while she cooked, and she let the kids know not to disturb her during that time. And we can train ourselves throughout the day to have short conversations with members of the Godhead—should I go do this now; how should I handle this situation… Your God is excitedly waiting to hear your voice.
