The Scripture references below are based on the New American Standard Bible (NASB) translation. We believe in God the Father, the creator of heaven and earth, who is almighty and eternal. (Gen. 1:1, 1 Cor. 8:6, 2 Cor. 6:18, Eph. 3:9, 1 Tim 1:17)
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who was born of the virgin Mary, suffered and died for the sins of the world on the cross, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead on the third day. We believe that He appeared unto men, ascended into heaven, and is coming back to earth again. (Mat. 16:16, Mat. 1:23, 1 Cor 15:3-7, Acts 1:9-11)
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is called the Comforter. We believe He indwells believers today as He did in the early church, giving them power to overcome the trials of life, as well as power to be witnesses of salvation. (Jn. 14:26, Acts 2:4, Jn. 16:8, 13)
We believe that the Bible was written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and we hold it to be the final authority in all matters of Christian faith. (2 Tim. 3:16, Mat. 5:17, 18, 2 Pet. 1:21)
We believe all who have been born again according to John 3:3-5 are members of the Body of Christ, based on our common salvation, not on doctrine. (Rom. 6:23; Rom. 10:9-10, Jn. 1:12, 1 Cor. 12:12)
We believe that water baptism is for the remission of sins and should be administered by immersion. (Acts 2:38, Acts 19:5, Acts 22:16)
We believe in participating in communion, which was instituted by Jesus at the Last Supper. By partaking of the bread and wine, we remember His death and resurrection and the price He paid for us. (1 Cor. 10:16,17, 1 Cor. 11:23-26)
We believe that physical healing continues to be available to believers today. Jesus commissioned believers to continue practicing healing of the sick till he returns. (Mark 6:13, Jn. 14:12, James 5:14,15, 1 Pet. 2:24)
We believe in the exercise of the gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit, always accompanied by the unconditional love of God. (1 Cor. 12:7-10, 28. 1 Cor. 13:1,2 with 1 Cor. 14:1)
We believe in everlasting life for the believer and everlasting judgment for the unbeliever (Jn. 3:16, Mat. 25:46, Rev. 20:11-15)
