Memorial Day invites us to pause and remember. We honor those who gave their lives in service, recognizing the sacrifices made and the empty chairs that have been felt around many tables over many generations. For countless families, this weekend has carried grief, memory, and love that never fully fades. As we remember these lives given for others, may we continue pursuing God's vision for our world, marked not by violence, but by peace, reconciliation, and justice.

Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." Matthew 5:9

Sacrifice is most honored by peace.
