Most people do not wake up one morning and decide to leave God.

It usually happens a little at a time.

A prayer skipped.
A service missed.
A Bible left unopened.
A heart that grows comfortable with less.

"Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip." (Hebrews 2:1)

Stay close to the Lord. Drift is easy. Faithfulness is intentional.

This morning, people all across the world will gather to worship God.

Some will come carrying burdens.

Some will come seeking answers.

Some will come needing encouragement.

And some will come simply because they love the Lord.

Wherever you are today, take time to worship the One who gave everything for you.

"I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD." (Psalm 122:1)

Before David wore a crown, he carried a sling.

Before Joseph ruled Egypt, he sat in a prison.

Before Moses led a nation, he spent years in the wilderness.

God often prepares people in places they would never choose for themselves.

Do not despise the season you are in. God may be using it to prepare you for something greater.

One day, every Bible will be closed for the last time.

One day, every sermon will be preached for the last time.

One day, every invitation will be offered for the last time.

Today is not that day.

God is still giving opportunities. His grace is still available. His invitation is still open.

"Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." (2 Corinthians 6:2)

A ship is safest when it stays in the harbor, but ships were not built for harbors.

The Christian life was never meant to be lived in comfort alone. Faith grows when we trust God beyond what we can see, understand, or control.

"But without faith it is impossible to please him..." (Hebrews 11:6)
