First Baptist Church of Rangely

10/07/2026

Listen to Sunday’s sermon on John 19:1-16 where the crowds shout to crucify him.

The Jewish people had been waiting generations and generations for a Messiah, but when he did not come how they expected, they rejected him.

We have access to the messiah.
We can call upon the name of Jesus.
We can be saved.

Yet all too often, Jesus isn’t who we expect him to be, and just like the Jewish people of the day, we reject him.

What will you do with this Jesus?

Join us tomorrow as we look at John 19 where Jesus is handed over to be crucified.

This week we see how the Jews reject their king. In our hearts, we have to decide if we will reject or receive the king.

Worship with us as we sing, listen to teaching, and remember the king’s sacrifice on the cross through communion.

Ladies don’t forget our Bible studies tomorrow!

Morning at Paynes Home - 10:00 am

Evening at Church in Fellowship Hall - 6:30 pm

Join us as we look at who God says He is in scripture.

Ephesians 3:16–21

16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 aso that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being brooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen

Join us tomorrow to look at John 18 when Jesus stands before Pilate.

36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.” 37 Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” 38 Pilate said to him, “What is truth?”

We all have to decide what to do with the truth of Jesus. Come tomorrow to look at who Jesus is!
