Minnesotans for Racial Justice are holding an event at Riverfront Memorial Park at 1pm on Saturday, September 5 to remember Ernest McDuffey, a Black man who survived a lynching attempt 95 years ago.

The City of Anoka and the MN Senate have declared September 5 a day to remember Duffey.

At Anoka UCC, we affirm that we must never stop grappling with and repenting of our nation's history of racial injustice. We hope that by helping promote this event, we may be part of the ongoing work of reconciliation and justice to which God calls us all.
