Police arrested my interpreter…
A Powerful Testimony of God’s Protection and the Power of His Word
Today, while we were traveling from one village to another, our journey was supposed to take three hours. After we had traveled almost two hours, we came across a police checkpoint on the way to the village.
We heard the police officers talking among themselves, saying, “This is the very vehicle we have been waiting for.” They then ordered us to get out of the vehicle.
The police thoroughly searched our entire vehicle. They checked the floor mats, inspected the tires, opened the bonnet, and examined everything carefully. They also searched the trunk at the back of the vehicle. They even removed our seats and checked everything inside.
When they opened the trunk, they found that we were carrying a large number of Audio Bibles, along with Study Bibles.
The officers then told us, “You must come with us to the police station. We will investigate everything there.”
We became frightened and worried, wondering whether someone had filed a complaint against us or accused us of doing something wrong. We did not know what was happening or why we were being treated this way.
The police took us to the station, where we sat for approximately two hours. During that time, the officers listened to the Audio Bible continuously for a full hour.
There was a female police officer present who was a Muslim. After listening to the Word of God for an entire hour, she said:
“These words bring peace to the heart. They free the soul from restlessness and anxiety. Listening to these words gives me comfort and peace. Until today, I did not know how God had created everything. But today, through this audio recorder, I have learned how God created the world.”
After hearing her words, she told the other officers that we were not carrying anything illegal. Instead, she said, we were carrying words of love, peace, and comfort.
She then said, “Let them go.”
Before we left, she requested, “Please, give me one of these Audio Bibles.”
So, we gave her one Audio Bible and left with all the remaining Bibles.
Praise God! Even in our difficulties, He is always with us. He protects us, guides us, and makes a way when we cannot see one. What seemed like a frightening situation became an opportunity for a person to hear the Word of God and experience its peace.
Indeed, the Lord is our Shepherd, and He never abandons us in times of trouble.
