ENCOURAGEMENT FOR YOUR MONDAY 9/07/2026

GLIMPSES of HEAVEN PART 2

John 14:2-3 Jesus said “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”

Musician, Keith Green once said “I can't wait to get to Heaven, when You'll wipe away all my fears In six days You created everything But You've been working on Heaven, two thousand years”.
If it took Jesus 6 days to create this earth and heaven can you imagine the place that He has gone to prepare for us?
Last week we gave a list of thoughts about heaven. I received the following comments last week from some of you about heaven.

“All questions answered, what we need to know and we will be able to perfectly receive and understand. “

One song many of you referenced about heaven = “ when we all get heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be”

“It blows my mind what heaven will be like. Which makes it more appealing to read the word about it….”

“Is true and very true my brother, we are looking up to reach that perfection. Where we can fully enjoy His presence together with all the saints from all over the world.”

“One day my fallen nature (flesh) will hold no sway over me, and I will not need to struggle against it”.

“GLIMPSES OF HEAVEN is the living hope that keeps us alive and well. One day we are going to see the king! One day we going to be free from worrying of what to eat”

REVELATION 22:20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR YOUR MONDAY 8/31/2026

GLIMPSES of HEAVEN

1 Corinthians 2:9 but just as it is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM."

What will heaven be like? Consider the following.

Never forget anything again.

One day we will all agree.

One day we will all be loved perfectly.

One day we will all love each other perfectly. No more awkward relationship moments.

One day all relationships will be perfect / healed

One day we will all forgive each other completely and know it’s results.

One day we will see the positive impact God used us to make

One day we will see all those that impacted us. THE DOMINO AFFECT. It will aways go back to the prime mover.

One day every believer that you know will be beautifully perfect. AGING is destroyed in heaven.

No fences, pesticides, roundup, surveillance cameras, hospitals, wars, famine, sickness.

One day the church will be in perfect beauty. The sin bought family fully restored.

One day every lonely heart will find true love.

One day we will be in a safe place both physically and relationally.

One day every thought and every motive will be perfect in every conversation and relationship.

One day no more makeup or diet or gymnasium.

One day we will not think about being in a hurry, being late. No worries. No waiting." Hakuna matata "
One Day we will find out that Jesus noticed everything. I was hungry and you gave me something to eat thirsty and you gave me a drink.

One day that baby that was only here for a moment and then passed will be hugged for eternity and never let go again.

One day we will be as perfect and holy as Jesus.

John 14:3 "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. John 17:24 "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

One day we will see Jesus and be with Him forever.

Another blessed Sunday of worship and fellowship today. I am so thankful to teach these young communicants about the Gospel and how to become a member of the church. Doesn’t get much better than seeing these young students excited about being a part of God’s Kingdom. Thankful!

First ever praise team boot camp today at Rainbow. I love and I am so thankful for the many dedicated and talented singers, musicians, and sounds techs on our praise team, choir, youth praise team, and children’s musical team. We truly are blessed and are always looking to have others join in to encourage and point God’s people to God in worship at RPC. I hope you can join us for worship tomorrow at either 8:30 or 10:45 AM as we learn how Christ shows up with a call to holiness in Judges 2, yes I said Judges 2, Christ in the Old Testament. Look forward to seeing you here!

HEY! You can’t tell me what to do, THIS IS MY BODY….

This past Sunday, I had the opportunity to lead us into the Lord’s supper. As I share the words of Christ at the last supper, it has always been a humbling time of repeating the words that Christ shares with the disciples.

It’s humbling because I now know what He knew would happen when He said these words. That he would face the most brutal, unjustified, evil, painful, excruciating suffering, to take on the sin of the world, the sin that He didn’t commit, the sin He didn’t own. For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

“This is my Body”….given for you, is the most powerful statement in the world. It’s the declaration Christ makes here. It means that the God of the Universe, the God who holds all things together, would come down, take on flesh, and then give it to humanity to save humanity. I am thankful that Jesus didn’t say This is my Body…I will save myself. Even when He is praying in the garden, dealing with His humanity, He says not my will, but yours be done. What a selfless mindset.

And guess what, behind the backdrop of the world, in the spiritual realms, in his madness, Lucifer, even knowing God’s divine decree and power, thought He would have the opportunity in Jesus’ humanity to tempt him to make the selfish move and usurp His Father, only to find out he was wrong.

And now, Lucifer, the corrupted, accuser, deceiver has turned his attention to humanity. He wants us to make the selfish move. He wants us to say “This is my body”, I will do what I want with it.

For the woman, I will not give MY BODY, for the life of another within me. For the adult, I will not follow the biological design that the Lord has determine for me because it’s MY BODY. For the confused child, my God given gender will be corrupted by me because it’s MY BODY.

Don’t you see, Lucifer has taken the very words of Christ and twisted them. I don’t think this is coincidental. I think it is strategic and a direct slight toward God.

The Rainbow a symbol of God’s covenant of grace now made into a symbol of human pride. This is My Body, a declaration of a sovereign God sacrificing for all made into a declaration of a sinful people selfishly taking from all.

I ask you to join me to pray for our churches, community, country, and this world. The dark principalities of the world are at work and the church will prevail, but we won’t do it sleep walking. Let’s be intentional with our faith sharing the good news of Christ with those in need and living a life of sacrifice and not selfishness. And for those who have made the selfish MY BODY decision in the past, God offers redemption for your future. Saying Lord, This is My Body given to serve and worship you is life changing.

And He took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” (Luke 22:19)
