It’s a cold windy night in village #1, but we arrived at 5700 ft elevation and are set for day one of villagers tomorrow. The 8 hour bus ride from paved roads to pig trails builds team unity and soreness. 🙂 Please pray for the Lord to be glorified this week in this camp. Thanks for your prayers and support. Our team has arrived in Tanzania and connected with the Toloha team who are all doing great. We will be in Arusha for a day of worship, preparation, and rest then a 6-8 hour voyage to the village Monday. Here are some pictures of Wade studying on the flight, flying out of Adidas Ababa, Mount Kilimanjaro & Mount Meru, and Wade addressing the team as we unpack our over 100 bags of luggage. Thanks to Joseph Lacha and his incredible team of men who helped us. Those brothers are awesome servants of the Lord!

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR YOUR MONDAY 6/8/2026

GO

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations” Matthew 28:19

“but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”” Acts 1:8

If you are a follower of Jesus, a child of the king, then you will show your love for him by keeping His commandments (John 14:15). Every Christian is called to lead others to Jesus and help them in their journey to heaven.

This Friday I head back to Africa. I have had the privilege and blessing of GOING to Tanzania for many years. Everyone of us is called to GO. Where is God calling you to GO? Your neighbor? A relative? An ENEMY? AT WORK? At the gym? Not everyone is called to go to Africa, but every believer is called to go and be witnesses of what Jesus has done, is doing and can do.

Will you pray for the 38 going to Africa that they will love others to Jesus?

I’m praying this morning for you.

I will be back June 29 and will give an update.

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR YOUR MONDAY FROM WADE

NO

In Matthew chapter five Jesus taught about making promises. He concludes by saying” Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.” Matthew 5:37

Sometimes we say that we will do something knowing that we will not. Sometimes we say that we will do something and have every intention to do it but don’t get it done.

One extreme could be that I will tell you yes to make you happy but have no intention of following through. Another extreme could be that I will tell you yes because I am a people pleaser and want you to like me even though I already have too much to do and I should have said NO.

Jesus taught that it is okay to say NO. If you know that your plate is full and you are called to accomplish certain things then it’s okay to say NO.

Your integrity is at stake. Keep your promises and don’t make promises that you cannot keep. IF YOU HAVE A COMPELLING YES THEN SAYING NO HELPS YOU TO FUFILL YOUR YES.

Jesus said No (Luke 4:38-44)

Father in heaven, show me the best over the good. Help me today to accomplish all that you have for me and not to take on what is not of your will. Help me to love others by saying yes and no.

I hope you will join us for our Sunday morning services tomorrow at RPC. We have worship services at 8:30 and 10:45 AM with our Sunday school classes meeting at 9:45 AM. We will have a commissioning prayer for our Tanzania teams in both services. I will be preaching on our final parable of the parable study in Luke 16:19-31, where Jesus gives us a peek into the after life sharing about Lazarus and the Rich Man with the focus on how to have assurance of eternal comfort in Christ.
