AUGUST SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE FOR STARBUCK INTERNATIONAL K-8 SCHOOL

We will be collecting school supplies during August to give to Starbuck International K-8 School (where our own Kelly Miller teaches). There are specific items they could really use, so please consider buying these:
**headphones (not earbuds) with microphones and a cord (can be found at the store “5 and Under” for $5-$10 each - there is a high need for these as they break throughout the year and need replaced)
**wide-ruled lined paper spiral notebooks
**loose leaf wide-ruled lined paper
**plain white copy paper
**brown paper grocery bags (for compost crusaders group)

Hobby Showcase, Sunday, July 26
This Sunday, July 26th, we’re hosting a Hobby Showcase after worship and we’re hoping you’ll bring in an example of your favorite hobby. For some of you that will be easy since you can bring in some stitching or knitting or woodworking. For those of you with hobbies that don’t easily translate into items you can bring with you, we hope you’ll bring a picture or other artifact that helps us know more about you. If you love to garden, perhaps a picture of your garden. If you love to hike, a photo of a favorite scene from a hike, or your hiking boots if they don’t smell too badly. If you love to read, a copy of your favorite book. And, if you’re like me, and you like to do all the things, your challenge will be to pick your favorite one. We’ll have cards here for you to write your name on and then display with your hobby.
