Hi, my name is Dan, it is my privilege to serve at the Pastor at Quimby Baptist Church. If you are in the area, you may have seen our church as you drove by. You may have not given it a second though, or you may wonder what kind of church we are.
Quimby Baptist is part of the Southern Baptist Convention, the largest protestant denomination in the United States. We partner with churches in our area, in the state of Iowa, and all over the nation. You can find all the information about our doctrines and beliefs at SBC.net, look for the Baptist Faith and Message.
To give you some information about our church, we are in almost every way the small rural church. We don’t have a band, we don’t have fancy lights, and we don’t have an espresso machine, but we do have coffee. We sing a blend of traditional and more contemporary songs. We are very casual, jeans are fine, but if you want to dress up, that is ok too. We are casual because we are a family.
I believe that a church in a community is important, and we want to be part of this community. We want to be here during celebrations and hard times. We meet every week to pray together, to sing together, to open the Bible together, and fellowship together. We would love for you to join us Sunday mornings. We have Sunday School at 9:30, which is very casual and informal. We have services at 10:30 and we are done promptly at 11:30.
