“Those who worship the Lord need “clean hands and a pure heart” (Psalm 24:4). Sinful human beings are neither prepared nor worthy to be in God’s presence or worship Him. Yet God forgives us, covers us with Christ’s righteousness, and enables us to worship Him. This is why worship begins with Confession of sins and Absolution. By God’s grace, we worship with clean hands and a pure heart.“
