Central is privileged to be part of a vibrant art community. Every month, we exhibit the work of a local talent. This month, we’re pleased to feature sustainable artist Jocelyn Vache, art & earth .

Jocelyn weaves sustainable practice, community engagement, and permaculture (the development of sustainable and self-sufficient ecosystems) throughout her artmaking, teaching, and life. Using homegrown and foraged pigment and fiber and homemade soymilk, Jocelyn abstracts and combines literal and figurative imagery drawn from the environment, current events, and personal experiences. Her work confronts societal double standards and illuminates human blind spots as it glorifies daily acts of nature.

Meet the artist at the Gallery Opening on Friday, May 8, from 5 to 7 pm.
