Good Friday isn’t soft. It isn’t comfortable. It’s not meant to be.

It’s the day we remember that Jesus was beaten until His body was torn open. Mocked. Spit on. Crowned with thorns pressed into His head. Forced to carry the very cross He would die on—until He collapsed under its weight.

Nails were driven through His hands and feet. He hung there, struggling for every breath, fully aware, fully present… choosing to stay.

Not because He had to.
Because He chose to.

For us.

Every drop of blood. Every moment of suffering. Every ounce of pain—He endured it knowing exactly who He was doing it for.

This is love that costs something.
This is grace that wasn’t cheap.
This is the weight of sin, carried and paid in full.

Today we don’t rush past it.
We sit in it.
We remember.

Because you can’t fully understand the power of Sunday… without first understanding the sacrifice of Friday.
