Sunday Service - 10/25 - Reformation Sunday - Guest Pastor Karen Ramirez

10/04/2026

We apologize, we had some technical issues today so we will not have a recording of the service to share with you this week 🫣

We would however encourage you to go study the scripture shared today --
📖 Genesis 22: 1 - 14 and Hebrews 11: 8 - 19

💬 The message shared by our guest Pastor Karen Ramirez was about God testing Abraham's faith. The test by God was not a quick one -- Abraham traveled for 3 days before ascending the mountain with Isaac. There was plenty of time for him to turn back or question God's directions to him. Yet he remained faithful and did as God commanded, even though Isaac was his only son he had prayed so hard for. When Isaac questioned Abraham, he replied "God himself will provide." God did indeed provide for Abraham, both in the ram for the offering and blessings for numerous offspring to come. Abraham demonstrated that when we do give to God what he asks, he returns to us far more than we could dream. The spiritual benefits of his blessings far outweigh our sacrifices.

❓For reflection: Have you withheld yourself from God? Do you fully trust his process and plan for you? What is your 'Isaac' that you love so much that you may have prioritized it above God and his commands for you?
