In the U.S., we observe Memorial Day, which is a day of solemn remembrance of those who laid down their lives in service to this nation. As followers of Jesus, we honor their sacrifice, acknowledging the deep grief that endures in the hearts of families and friends, and give thanks for the costly gift of their service.

Today we invite you to pause in prayer: for comfort and hope for the bereaved, for healing for those still bearing wounds of war, and for God’s justice and peace to prevail throughout the world. 🙏

Today we thank the Lord for all the mothers out there! ✨️💐✨️ For biological mothers, adopted mothers, and mother figures -- these women have helped mold us and guide us. God knew the special role he had for women when he created them. 🙏🏻 ❤️ We share this prayer and blessing over all our mothers on this Mother's Day! ✝️💐✨️

✨️✨️ HE IS RISEN INDEED ✨️✨️

​What a powerful Easter Sunday at Asbury Methodist Church! We began our morning in the quiet, windy beauty of the Son Rise service, watching the light break over the horizon as we prepared our hearts. 🌄

​The fellowship continued with a packed house at the Church Hall for breakfast—there’s nothing quite like sharing a meal with our church family. 🍳🍽 Thank you to each and every person who had a hand in preparing and serving it! 💕 During our main service, we raised our voices together to celebrate the greatest miracle of all: the day the Lord rose from the grave! 🙌🏻🎶✝️

​We capped off the celebration at the park, where the weather stayed perfect for our Easter Egg Hunt. 🐣 Watching the kids dash for eggs and visit the Prize Mobile was the perfect end to a day centered on joy and new life. ✨️ Thank you to Marty, Heather, and all of our Egg-hiders for such a wonderful event for the children! 💕
