DO YOU HEAR HIM KNOCKING?
Church, it is time to awaken. We cannot afford to keep going through the motions while our hearts grow distant from the One we profess to love.
Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock…Revelation 3:20
Those words were spoken to a church. Let that search our hearts. We can attend services, know the language, and appear spiritually alive while allowing our fellowship with Jesus to grow cold.
Have we become comfortable living without the hunger we once had? Have we made room for everything except prayer? Have we filled our days with entertainment and distractions while leaving our Bibles unopened?
This is a call to return to our first love. To repent. To seek His face again. To hunger and thirst for righteousness.
We need more than another stirring service. We need hearts surrendered to Jesus when the service is over. We need prayer in our homes, truth in our pulpits, and obedience in our daily lives.
Pastors and leaders, this call searches us too. We must spend time in His presence and allow His Word to correct us. The people we shepherd need more than prepared words; they need faithful shepherds whose lives reflect fellowship with Christ.
LISTEN.
Do not keep putting off the conviction stirring in your heart. If you have wandered, return. If you have grown complacent, repent. If you have neglected prayer, begin again today.
We are living in a precious hour of mercy. Scripture reminds us that today is the day of salvation. We are not promised tomorrow, and we should never treat God’s patience as a reason to delay.
His invitation is personal: open the door. Welcome Him into the places you have kept closed. Surrender your plans, your habits, your relationships, and your will to His lordship.
Jesus speaks of coming in and sharing a meal ,of restored fellowship and closeness. What a beautiful invitation from the One who knows us completely and still calls us to Himself.
Let this become our prayer:
“Lord, search my heart. Forgive me for becoming satisfied with a distant relationship with You. Restore my hunger for Your Word and my thirst for righteousness. Show me where I need to repent, and give me the courage to obey. Rekindle my love for You. Let revival begin in me. I surrender my will to Yours. In Jesus’ name, amen!”
DO YOU HEAR HIM KNOCKING?
Answer Him today. Return wholeheartedly. There is nothing worth holding on to that keeps you from walking closely with Jesus.
