We are starting a new thing - telling faith stories of members of Christ Lutheran. I'm thankful for Josie Corson's willingness to meet with me and share her faith story. If you would like to share yours - please reach out to Pastor Kris!

JOSIE CORSON - GENERATION TO GENERATION -
Baptized and raised at Christ Lutheran, church has always been part of the rhythm of Josie’s family. She is inspired by how her mom and dad live out their faith, and she believes that when parents go to church, it helps kids stay connected to worship too. When she feels tired or busy, her mom gently reminds her that worship is just one hour of her week—an encouragement that keeps her grounded.

Josie feels God’s presence most deeply during worship. Sunday messages help her reflect on scripture in ways that connect to her life and offer new perspectives. Worship also draws her closer to God, giving her space to sit, think, talk with others, and enjoy moments like passing the peace.

“Peace be with you”—these words help build relationships. Josie’s hope for Christ Lutheran this year is that we continue creating opportunities for relationships to grow across generations.

She also sees God at work on the volleyball court through encouragement and teamwork. As she enters her senior year and the big decisions that come with it, Josie leans on her faith, trusting that God is with her and guiding her forward.

We’re grateful for Josie and excited for all that’s ahead.

Where are you noticing grace?

Sometimes we look for God in the extraordinary and miss the sacred unfolding right in front of us.

In a conversation that lingers.
In unexpected laughter.
In someone who listens.
In beauty we almost walked past.
In a moment when hope quietly returns.

Vocation begins not only with doing, but with noticing.

Today, may we practice a little holy curiosity. May we pay attention to the people, places, and moments through which God’s grace is already at work.

A fun fall is planned!

The Fall Lunch and Learn Series is back at the Log Lodge, and this season brings four speakers worth clearing your calendar for. Mark down September 15, October 27, November 17, and December 15.

Each one follows the same easy rhythm: check-in at 11:00, a homemade lunch at 11:30, and a presentation with time for questions from 12:15 to 1:30. Separate goodwill offerings are collected at the door for lunch and for the speaker.

Our August Summer WOW was fun! Thanks to Jade Grabau for organizing a kickball and hotdog event, to kids for showing up, to parents for providing the meal, and Lindsey Larson for pictures! A meal, a prayer, a kickball game, and a blessing made for a great night.
