Heavenly Father,
Today, we lift up the marriages throughout our community. Lord, we know that marriage is Your design, and we ask You to protect every husband and wife and strengthen the covenant they have made before You.
Guard our marriages against every attack of the enemy. Where the devil seeks to divide, bring unity. Where he brings confusion, bring clarity. Where there is hurt, bring healing. Where there is distance, restore closeness and connection.
We plead the blood of Jesus over our marriages, our homes, and the very foundations of our families. May our homes be places of peace, grace, forgiveness, faithfulness, and love.
Father, we especially lift up the marriages that are struggling today. You see the pain that no one else sees. You know the conversations that have become difficult, the wounds that have gone unhealed, and the hearts that have grown weary. Step into those places, Lord. Mend what has been broken. Soften hearts. Restore trust. Rekindle love. Make whole again what the enemy has tried to tear apart.
Give husbands and wives wisdom in how they speak to one another, patience to truly listen, humility to forgive, and strength to stand beside one another through every season. Teach us to support, encourage, honor, and pray for our spouses.
Most of all, Jesus, be the center of our marriages. When life becomes difficult, remind us that our strength is found in You. Help us love one another with a love that reflects Your grace, Your sacrifice, and Your faithfulness.
This week, we lift up every single couple in our church and our community. Strengthen them. Protect them. Heal them. Draw them closer to one another as You draw them closer to You.
What God has joined together, let no one separate.
— Mark 10:9
In the mighty name of Jesus,
Amen. ❤️
