This Wednesday at 6:00 we will have a meeting of the midlife (older than YAPP but younger than AARP) group. No real agenda—just getting to know each other and talking about what we would like to do with ourselves. Hope you can come!

Our team had a fantastic week in Spruce Pine, NC helping rebuild some homes lost in Hurricane Helene. Thank you to Spruce Pine Presbyterian Church for allowing us to crash in their building for the week and for the amazing meal last night, to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance for having the dedication to stay until everyone has been helped, to our team leaders who were great motivators and teachers, and to our volunteers who gave a week of their own time to work hard for our neighbors in Appalachian NC who lost everything in the storm. We will share more about the trip in an upcoming lunch, but here is a sneak preview of what we were up to this week! We will be headed back soon, so be sure to watch for signups for our next trip!

We are looking for a talented pianist to join our team! Work only on Sundays (plus 4 additional evenings a year) in a fun, LGBTQIA+ friendly environment, and get 4 paid weeks off a year plus rent-free space to teach private lessons. We can't wait to meet you!

We had a great time at our fellowship event this month! Dinner at Kerns and a concert featuring several of our own members singing in the Appalachian Equality Chorus made for a great evening!

And that’s a wrap on our Road Trip VBS! What a great week we had. Thank you to every volunteer, parent, traveler, and tiny creature who let us pet and learn about you! Until next year! (The last photo is all of us this afternoon!!!)
