We had a great night of food and fellowship at GC3. Thanks to everyone who shared their talents through great food and worship. Congrats to Rob and Elaine Eshom who won the chili cook-off!

Tonight we are having a Worship service with song specials being sung by church members, we will be having hot dogs as well as a chili cooking competition.
Candy bags will be given out to kids after service. It's a safe way to worship the Lord and give HIM honor. Hope to see your there tonight. Starts at 6:30 pm

We as GC3 are attending the Light for the Lost banquet in Spiro, Ok. It's a $10.00 steak dinner to help raise money for the Light for the Lost ministry. They print Bibles and literature for Missionaries throughout the world int he appropriate languages needed to effectively minister the Gospel Message.
We need a head count of all who wants to go because we have to reserve a spot, will you please PM us if you would like to attend of call the office so that we can make a reservation. It is $10.00 a person.

Have you ever been in a place that you wanted to be seen or heard? Maybe you wanted to be recognized or to be sought after for your knowledge or experience? Maybe you thought you should be heard to show that you have a special worth or value?
I have dealt with that in my past thinking that I knew just what to do to fix the problem, as a youth you think that you are invincible or 7 ft tall and bullet proof, I can assure you that I was not bullet proof, truth is I made a pretty good bullet back stop. LOL..
As we get older, we find that we don't have to speak up to show people that we have value. Others know your worth by your actions not your words. That's why I prefer to sit in the back of the room and if by chance I get called up to the head of the table, let it be because someone sought after me not because I pushed myself in the picture. It's pretty embarrassing when you get directed to make room for someone more important than you.
I have been on both sides of that table; trust me I want to assure you it is better to wait to see how you are promoted in the presence of the company of believers. Humility is the greatest gift you have, it will be the gift that will promote you or demote you, both are needed at times.

Proverbs 25:6-7
6 Don’t demand an audience with the king or push for a place among the great.
7 It’s better to wait for an invitation to the head table
than to be sent away in public disgrace.

Lk 14:7-11.
7 When Jesus noticed that all who had come to the dinner were trying to sit in the seats of honor near the head of the table, he gave them this advice: 8 “When you are invited to a wedding feast, don’t sit in the seat of honor. What if someone who is more distinguished than you has also been invited? 9 The host will come and say, ‘Give this person your seat.’ Then you will be embarrassed, and you will have to take whatever seat is left at the foot of the table!
10 “Instead, take the lowest place at the foot of the table. Then when your host sees you, he will come and say, ‘Friend, we have a better place for you!’ Then you will be honored in front of all the other guests. 11 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

If you don't have a church to attend, please except my invitation to come to the table, there are plenty of Good churches wherever you live but you will never know till you attend. Green Country Cowboy Church would love to see you. We will save a seat for you.
